Dresser :: Before & After

A very sweet client of mine dropped off this dresser a few weeks ago.
It's a dresser that's been in her family.
She wanted to have it refinished so she could eventually use it in her little girl's room.
We decided to paint it Pure White and swap out the hardware.
It was a pretty simple project, but the results are dramatic.
Here is the before:

And here is how it's lookin' these days:

She's thinking about refinishing a twin bed to match.
It will be a darling set that hopefully her daughter is proud of one day!

Lovely White Console Table

Who would have thought this little table
would have so much potential . . . ?
My lucky client!
She found this table on Craig's List and snatched it up.
With a little work, we turned it into a beautiful console table.

Here it is freshly painted pure white and distressed:

I paired it with some fun hardware I had on hand.
It really is a little beauty!

CoCo Vanity

This sweet little vanity just got a beautiful makeover.

A client of mine reserved it and requested
I paint it in Annie Sloan's CoCo.
It was my first time working with this color -
I'm now a big fan!

Dining Room Hutch, part 2

Part two. Thank goodness. The china hutch is complete.
It was picked up this weekend.  Honestly, it was a pretty amazing transformation.
Here is how the top portion turned out . . .

And here is a picture of it fully 'assembled'.
I'm a sucker for white furniture!

Dining Room Hutch, part 1

Here is part one of a two part project post.
Why two posts?
Because this piece of furniture is massive (and heavy).
It doesn't appear that large in photos, but trust me, it is.

A few weeks ago I posted about a client who recently
purchased a new lake home.  She came to me requesting
we brighten up some of her existing furniture.

Here is another piece that she dropped off:

She requested it be painted in Annie Sloan's Old White with
light distressing.

Here is how the bottom portion turned out.

I love the original hardware.
The entire piece looks fantastic. It's a completely different look.

We're nearly finished with the hutch portion of this project.
I'll post photos in a day or so.
If you know me, you know I'll do whatever it takes to get a
great furniture shot.  Lifting, moving - bring it on.
So . . .  I'm really bummed that
the hutch is too heavy for us to lift onto this cabinet.
On the bright side, two part furniture posts can be fun.
Plus - I'm pregnant - so the lifting ends here.  Until, October.
To be continued!

Napoleonic Blue Dresser

A very sweet client of mine reserved this dresser.

Here was her request:
Annie Sloan's Napoleonic Blue.
Glass Knobs.
Wood Top.

I actually had the opportunity to see the room this dresser would end up in.
It's a beautiful, main level, reading room.
Think lots of natural sunlight paired with fun white and blue distressed furniture.
It's gorgeous!  If invited, I'd move in.  :)

I actually decided to first paint the dresser Old White.
As a result, the white pulled through when I distressed, creating a beautiful layered look.
I also sanded the wood top and stained it a bit darker.
I love how it turned out!
