Gone Fishing!

This little superhero turned three last week. My.oh.my, how time flies. Meet Landon. Our oldest.

Our little buddy Landon had a Superman theme birthday party last year. My sis-in-law, Nellie (from nellie*design) helped me create the most perfect party for our superhero, party photos from last year's bash found here

While Landon is still a HUGE fan of Superman, we decided to throw him a fishing themed birthday party this year.  We live in a small lake 'cottage' - so it was only fitting for his July birthday. I scoured the internet looking for any inspiration that I could find.  My search ended when I stumbled upon the most perfect printable birthday party.  Enter Spaceships and Laser Beams.  As their tagline states - they design parties with boyish charm.  Love it! You can view more details on their website, in their Etsy shop and also on their facebook page.

I'm excited to show you the (way too many) photos from this past Sunday.

Here is our (new) entryway.

Guests were greeted by darling personalized signs . . .

. . . and a weathered sign that I made out of an old pallet of wood.

Here are a few photos of the dessert table . . .

and our beverage station . . .

Gummy worms, fish and saltwater taffy helped create little tackle treat boxes for our guests.

All of our guests helped Landon fill up his birthday fish with their fingerprints - a nice way to remember the day.

The birthday boy had his own personalized chair, perfect for opening gifts.

And here is the birthday boy himself, loving the attention and the approval to dig into that birthday cupcake!

Action photos of Landon's gift opening . . . hubs and his boys.

Big helper / little brother, Porter . . .

What a fun-filled day!  Happy birthday, Landon - we love you buddy!

  3. Oh, what a lovely little fishing party. I don't think there is enough space for me to say all the things I LOVE about it - all the signs, your oar, the chair, his cupcake, the drinks bar and the tackle treat boxes (so cute).

    1. Thank you! I looked all over and I found the boxes at a local craft store - they were made more for sewing supplies. :)
