Custom :: Dining Room Chairs

Here's a custom project we are just finishing up.  A new client brought us 6 dining room chairs that she wanted painted in Old White and lightly distressed.

Here is how they looked when she first dropped them off...

And here is how they look now - clean, fresh and new.

I can't wait to see them with newly recovered seat cushions - oh, the fabric options!

Highboy Dresser

Just a few after photos for this project, I love how this tall chest of drawers turned out.
It's painted in Annie Sloan's Paris Grey, paired with oil rubbed bronze color hardware.
** The coloring is a bit off in the photos, the dresser body is actually a beautiful soft gray color. **

Here's a custom dresser we just finished up this weekend. No before pictures - just the afters!

It's painted in Annie Sloan's Louis Blue & Old white. Medium distressing with dark wax to give it that perfectly aged look!  New hardware is from Target.

Makeover Story :: Serving Cabinet

This bar/serving cabinet has been sitting in my garage for about a year.  I've had it posted as available for reservation, but have had no hits on it. As a result, it just hasn't been a priority - so there it sat. It's such a cool piece though with lots of storage space.  This past weekend, we decided it was time to dust it off again and bring it back to life.  Boy, I'm glad we did!

Here is how it looked originally:

And here is how it looks now:

I painted it in Annie Sloan Chalk paint - Old White and paired it with some Versilles colored accents. I then swapped out the original hardware with some fun new glass handles - they seem to add just the right amount of class.  :)  I love the end results!

Custom :: Serving Cabinet

Here's a custom piece we just finished up this weekend. I love the green my client picked out, especially with the new hardware!  We decided to sand down the top, restain and apply a white wash finish to give it that desired aged look.

For those of you interested, here is how the piece looked beforehand.  Quite the transformation!

Napoleonic Blue Dresser

I did it again.  I failed to take a before photo of this custom dresser.  Why do I let that happen oh-so-often?

Well, as a result, this will be a short & sweet post.

Here is a custom piece that we just finished up.  Annie Sloan chalk paint - Napoleonic Blue paired with new hardware.  We also painted that frame for this same client.  One coat of Napoleonic Blue topped with some Old White.  I love how it distressed - hints of both the blue and the original wood color pull through. Beautiful!

Does anyone have any interest in this gently used three piece bedroom set? Painted a soft white. Perfect for a smaller bedroom space. Great as is - or, change out the hardware to make more of a statement!

Boys' Room Makeover :: Progress Update

Wow.  This weekend was a productive one.  We dropped the boys off for an overnight by Grandma & Grandpa around noon on Saturday.  We had just over 24 hours to whip their new bedroom into shape before their return.  We got SO much done.  We're not quite finished with their room, but really close - so I figured I'd share a progress update report!

We started on the wall planking last week.
Here is the before - as in, literally, right before construction started.

And here are a few 'during' photos:

 And here's how it's looking after our VERY productive weekend . . .

I'm so happy with how it turned out!  Bright, airy and cottage inspired - just what we were going for.

We still need to hang our crown molding & fill our bare picture frames. We're also waiting for these fisherman wall sconces to be delivered - we'll hang them on either side of the main window, above the beds.

But, we're so close to being finished - and it feels fantastic!  That also means we're getting that much closer to welcoming our baby boy #3.  :)
