A very sweet client of mine reserved this dresser.
Here was her request:
Annie Sloan's Napoleonic Blue.
Glass Knobs.
Wood Top.
I actually had the opportunity to see the room this dresser would end up in.
It's a beautiful, main level, reading room.
Think lots of natural sunlight paired with fun white and blue distressed furniture.
It's gorgeous! If invited, I'd move in. :)
I actually decided to first paint the dresser Old White.
As a result, the white pulled through when I distressed, creating a beautiful layered look.
I also sanded the wood top and stained it a bit darker.
I love how it turned out!
I love how the dresser turned out. I painted an antique record cabinet last summer and have never loved how it turned out. I have finally decided that it needs distressing and it would probably look better if I had done an undercoat like you did.
ReplyDeletelove your dresser the color is beautiful! I Would love to feature it, if this would be ok with you please let me know.

ReplyDeleteTotally love the napoleonic blue. This is the first time I have actually seen this color painted that I like. The old white was perfect to start with. This piece looks so expensive, high end now. Love this!
